About Us
What if the future of affordable housing were beneath your feet?
Artful, affordable homes sustainably made from compressed earthen blocks for revitalization and wealth creation.
Spring 2025 Project Updates:
We are creating the BloxTruck mobile CEB factory as a cost-effective, nimble means to establish a production line while we consider a permanent location to complete our build at 3009 E. 20th Ter during summer 2025 and in preparation for it to be featured at the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA) Annual Conference in Kansas City October 8-12, 2025 around the theme of “Future Unfolding”.
Specifically, we’ll use grant funds to pay off the truck, pay off our new semi-automated CEB press, attain a CDL to operate the truck, and cover fees, registration, and insurance.
Currently, with our team producing 98 CEBs daily, it takes two months and costs 43K to make 5800 hundred CEBs for a Stonehome Mini. For a Stonehome Signature, the 11,400 CEBs needed take four months and cost 84K. With our newly upgraded machinery, we can make one home every eight days for $15,000 or $2.64 retail per block.
At minimum, that’s 24 homes per year with an average purchase price of $190K, yielding $4.6 million in gross annual revenue with a projected 14% profit margin. Housing industry standard is 10-15%. The BloxTruck will allow us to become revenue generating by moving into Phases III & IV of our Beautiful Start Launch Plan which are to open Public Orders and secure our first community parcel for development.
At scale across 16 locations—all operating at only 30% production capacity—we will employ at least 80 staff and produce nearly 400 homes per year with a total projected gross revenue of $74.2M and net over $10.4M.
