About Me
The Ivanhoe Neighborhood Council (INC) is a non-profit organization focused on improving the Ivanhoe neighborhood in Kansas City through resident-led initiatives. The neighborhood spans from 31st to 47th Street and is home to approximately 5,048 residents, with a predominantly Black community. INC’s efforts are centered on youth and family programs, crime and safety, housing and economic development, beautification, senior support, and health.
The council emphasizes grassroots change and values diversity, equity, and inclusion in its programming. Residents can get involved by becoming members, volunteers, block captains, or partners. Donating to INC supports community development initiatives, including beautification projects and crime reduction. The council also works to address neighborhood challenges like blight, food insecurity, and community disengagement.
