Description
Bodhi Kansas City is the second permanent supportive housing collaboration between long-standing, local social services agency SAVE Inc. and affordable housing developer The Vecino Group.

Located at 3840 Jackson Avenue, the development is completely new construction of 6 two-story buildings that will provide a total of 45 apartments in a mix of studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom options. One building will feature ground-level amenities, including a community room with galley kitchen, an entertainment area, a business center, as well as leasing and services offices.
The community includes 40 units set at affordable income levels of 30 to 60% AMI. 12 of these units will be set aside for individuals with a mental illness diagnosis. SAVE Inc. will provide on-site supportive services for residents. The remaining 5 units at Bodhi will be market rate.
The $16.3 million development was made possible through tax credit support and HOME funds from Missouri Housing Development Commission (MHDC), Kansas City Housing Trust Fund, Construction and Permanent Loan from Cedar Rapids Bank and Trust, and Tax Credit Syndication from Raymond James and Sugar Creek Capital.Bodhi is set for completion by Spring 2026.
